Our client is an ASX listed food business who distribute fresh food products throughout the grocery, emerging channels and foodservice channels. They have a culture committed to quality and pride themselves son their customer relationships, which has been a significant contributor to their success. Their product are locally grown and sourced along the east coast, and they are well equipped with harvesting and crying capabilities. The team in Melbourne are based in funky offices in the heart of the CBD, and as a result of growth, they are now looking to appoint a new National Account Manager for Woolworths & Costco.
About the role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for managing the strategic relationship with Woolworths & Costco (major customers) whilst also managing manufacturing accounts such as Bakers Delights. You will have end to end customer management responsibility, including promotional planning, stock / inventory management, pricing negotiations and budget ownership. This multi-channel role will see you immerse yourself into the retail landscape whilst also adhering to manufacturing requirements, which includes ingredients supply and wholesale management. Working with the wider business, you will also adopt key category management principles to optimize opportunity for the business.
Skills & experience
Success in this role will come from demonstrated experience as either National Account Executive or junior National Account Manager from within the FMCG / consumer goods industry, food & grocery experience preferred. Ideally degree qualified, you will possess a high level of financial and commercial acumen, accompanied with strong negotiation skills. You will be a natural driven, adaptable and motivated team player, and thrive off working in an autonomous and team orientated culture.
