National Business Manager - Coles

About the role

This role reports through to the Commercial Director and will hold full responsibility for the the entire portfolio with Coles, while also driving new business wins with other key retail partners. With strong buyer relationships in play, this is a critical role with significant opportunity to influence.

Duties

Core functions of the role will include:

  • Working towards sales & margin targets
  • Development and execution of customer business plans
  • Preparation and implementation of promotional plans across all categories
  • Control of trade spend budgets
  • Exploitation of all opportunities to increase ranging - and the launch of NPD
  • Further development of buyer relationships across the account

Skills & Experience

This is a critical role for our client, so we are specifically looking for a National Account Manager with strong Coles (preferred) experience with some level of exposure to other key retail partners including Woolworths and the Independent channel. In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

Have documented examples of having achieved account growth on a national scale, demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving.

Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills complemented with superior communication and the ability to cultivate strong business partnerships

Have a "can-do" attitude, working collaboratively across all business functions to achieve optimal commercial results.

You will be an analytically minded and strategic thinker who is passionate about all things FMCG.

You will be an exceptional communicator who is able to build rapport quickly, build relationships and influence both internally and externally with stakeholder at all levels.
