They are subsequently looking for an inspirational sales leader to take sales performance to the next level, bringing a best practice approach to both National Account Managers and a large and diverse National Field Sales team, across mutliple channels including grocery, hardware and automotive aftermarket.
Skills & Experience
With proven sales management experience leading National Accounts and Field teams in at least 2 retail channels, you will be able to demonstrate highly developed 'value-added' channel management skills where your strategies and negotiations have grown share ahead of market, not using price as a lever to drive volume. You will be a modern, authentic and inspirational leader with a track record of engaging field and national accounts teams, lifting their performance by developing capability through both hands-on coaching & mentoring as well as skills assessment and development. You will have highly honed strategic and commercial acumen, be adept and managing channel conflict with major national accounts, and most importantly be down to earth, comfortable rolling your sleaves up and leading from the front.
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, marketing or similar
- Engaging, inspirational leadership style that sets the right behavioural example
- Demonstrated experience driving EBIT growth in a complex multi-retail channel environment with large budgets
- Significant sales leadership experience, both NAM's & Field Sales teams
- Ideally channel experience in hardware.
- Tier 1 background, highly developed commercial acumen
