About the role
Thsi newly created role will support Head of Supply Chain and will be responsible for developing an executing an optimisation program that will deliver on the Supply Chain Strategic Plan. Covering transport, warehousing, and international logistics, and leading a talented team, you will being responsible for delivering an improvement in DIFOT and a reduction in cost to serve.
Core tasks include:
* The optimisation of logistics from manufacturing, through the distribution network and delivery through to customer
* The analysis of the current 3PL arrangements and putting forward recommendations to improve customer service, consolidate volumes where required and reduce costs
* Working with the commercial and manufacturing teams to improve collaboration and reduce inventory holdings
* The analysis and implementation of key KPI's across your teams to deliver on the logistics budget
Skills & Experience
A proven leader across logistics you will have had accountability for a significant sized transport and warehousing footprint within a complex manufacturing environment. Also key is the ability to understand and implement strategy and continuous improvement projects whilst maintaining the effective management of the existing operation. You will display a natural leadership capability, and you will see this role as a stepping stone to the next phase of your supply chain career.
