Reporting to the Group GM, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading, developing and growing a small sales team and be tasked with expanding the distribution footprint in the specialty reseller and trade retail channel, pulling the trade through the channel and expanding into DIY and hardware over time. This is a hands-on role that will be the face of the brand in the market so knowledge of and experience pulling building trade through a reseller channel is absolutely critical, as is the proven ability to coach and mentor a high performance team.
To be consider for the role, you will demonstrate the following experience & skills:
- Sales Leadership experience in building materials
- Extensive trade retail experience essential, ie specialty building materials or hardware channels
- Hands-on leader, outstanding coaching & mentoring skills. Leads from the front
- Strong commercial acumen, joint business planning with national trade retail chains
- Residential construction, trades & DIY specialist - channel pull through
- Demonstrated experience in expanding categories & ranging negotiations with national trade retailers & resellers
- Agile & dynamic leader, customer driven, energetic and entrepreneurial
- Accountable, results driven, collaborative & values driven,
- Polished communication & presentation skills, stakeholder influencing
