Job Description

Exciting Online Marketing Manager role to drive and own both strategy and implementation for a leading speciality retailer and wholesaler, as they continue on their current path of innovation and growth.

About the role

As the Online Manager, reporting on to one of the Directors and Business Manager, your primary purpose is to provide expertise in the management and facilitation of all E-Commerce and business's-based Internet activities, whilst specifically focusing on the management, promotion and significant growth of the online business in line with business goals, department procedures and company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the online store, from start to end
  • Improve the usability, design, content of the company website and devise strategies to drive the online traffic to the company's website
  • Ensure that marketing initiatives that achieve sales targets in conjunction with assigned Brand objectives
  • Develop and manage the end to end production of digital campaigns - Manage campaigns utilising key digital channels including EDM, SEM, SEO and Display
  • Analyze and interpret merchandise financials through specialist web analytic tools
  • Proactively conduct digital analysis and data mining to provide hidden insights
  • Communicate analytic findings to identify commercial implications and opportunities
  • Drive, measure and test the SEO
  • Oversee monthly site content refreshes (to reflect the marketing calendar)
  • Regularly communicate with heads of all key departments to ensure optimal awareness of e-commerce site initiatives/opportunities marketing insights, tools and strategies
  • Develop the site's look and feel to ensure consistency with brand's monthly focus and reflect the marketing strategy, while ensuring that provide online customers are tempted to keep returning to the site
  • Researching, learning and building your knowledge base around market trends, gaps and opportunities as well as competitor movement and consumer preference
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of development in digital marketing
  • Evaluating customer research, marketing conditions and competitor data
  • Measuring and meeting targets for increased brand and product awareness
  • Measuring sales revenue raised by marketing campaigns
  • Effectively supporting your term by thoroughly understanding their needs and strategies and delivering on marketing initiatives that drive sales and growth and positive customer relationship management
  • Managing and implementing all advertising and promotional activities to a high professional standard and within set deadlines and budgets
  • Measure website traffic through various programs;

Skills and Experience:

  • Being resourceful and effective working within budgets to achieve maximum brand exposure through innovative thinking and working with internal and external parities
  • Relevant tertiary or related qualifications are preferred with a minimum of 3years
  • Specialty retailing or wholesale experience within the general merchandise space preferred
  • Experience in data mining, combined with strategic and tactical decision ability
  • Proven people manager with a proactive approach
  • Experience with analytical tools, including Google Analytics and Tag manager
  • Experience of acquisition marketing, email and search (both paid and natural
  • Experience with digital marketing including SEO and SEM
  • Experience and understanding of the internet and online shopping coding;
  • Strong computer skill
  • Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Photo-shop
  • Strong project management & organisation skills - proven experience in managing a project from idea generation to implementation and measurement
  • Experience in web skills, including programming, coding, development and forum management
  • Experience working with e-commerce and digital marketing - affiliate networks
  • Willingness to launch and streamline new and existing procedures and systems
  • Sound PC skills in MS Office
  • Highly organised to meet schedules and time frames
  • Excellent communication skills, a team player and inspiring leader
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet time constraints and multiple season requirements
