Currently there exists an opportunity for a Operations Manager to lead their facility in the northern suburbs.
About the role
As the Operations Manager at their highly automated facility, you will be fully responsible for manufacturing & continuous improvement onsite leading across 4 shifts at their 24/7 site. Reporting directly to the General Manager.
You will be responsible for leading a team whose primary responsibility is ensuring production targets are met, customer orders are delivered on time and in full while controlling costs of production, and delivering against Safety
and Quality expectations.
You will also be responsible for identifying and driving opportunities for continuous and sustained improvement across Operations to achieve optimal results for the site. You will also be accountable for ensuring that the existing process & equipment is managed for optimum efficiency, cost & output and that plans and strategies are in place to develop the process to meet short, medium & long term needs. Full accountability for manufacturing onsite.
Skills & experiences
This is an exciting and integral role within the business and your experience and skill set will include the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification - Engineering Degree
- Demonstrated leadership as an Operations or Manufacturing Manager within FMCG or related industries (minimum 5 years)
- A continuous improvement mindset and continuous improvement project delivery experience.
- Ability to develop budgets and manage costs.
- Strong people-oriented leader with the ability to build engagement.
