This privately-owned Australian manufacturing business is a market leader supplying high quality products through an eCommerce direct to consumer model. Founded in Australia, they are well positioned to continue their strong growth performance through local and export markets. Due to this growth the organisation have created an opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead their production and operations team as they move into a new purpose built 7,000 sqm facility in Albury.

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO the Operations Manager will be fully responsible for manufacturing & continuous improvement on-site leading across 2 shifts at their highly automated 24/7 facility.

You will be responsible for leading a team whose primary responsibility is ensuring production targets are consistently met, customer orders are delivered on time and in full while controlling costs of production and delivering against Safety
and Quality expectations.

You will also be responsible for identifying and driving opportunities for continuous and sustained improvement across operations to achieve optimal results. You will also be accountable for ensuring that the existing process & equipment is managed for optimum efficiency, cost & output and that plans, and strategies are in place to develop the process to meet short-, medium- & long-term needs.


Skills & experiences

This is an exciting and integral role within the business and your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Relevant qualification in trades or an engineering Degree would be preferential
  • Demonstrated leadership as an operations or Manufacturing Manager within FMCG or related industries (minimum 5 years)
  • A continuous improvement mindset and continuous improvement project delivery experience.
  • Ability to develop budgets and manage costs.
  • Strong people-oriented leader with the ability to build engagement.
