Kids Under Cover is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preventing youth homelessness. They are a charity organisation in Australia supporting vulnerable young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years who are either already homeless or at risk of homelessness.
They do this by providing studio accommodation and education scholarships. They believe stable accommodation and education help young people stay connected to their family, to education and with their community.
About the role
The full-time, permanent Philanthropic Manager position leads the organisation's strategy to grow income from trusts, foundations, private and public ancillary funds, major donors and bequests. They are responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of prospective and existing support for all philanthropic giving.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the key responsibilities include:
- Develop acquisition and retention strategies for philanthropic donors
- Identify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, PAFs and PuAFs
- Prepare applications and grant bids
- Develop strong relationships with philanthropic staff and trustees
- Continue to grow the major donor income and manage these relationships
- Develop a bequest giving program
Skills & Experience
As an accomplished Philanthropic Manager, your experience has led you to become a strong stakeholder manager with a unique ability to develop strong relationships. You have a strong writing ability, attention to detail and are results driven. You will have a passion for the not-for-profit sector and Kids Under Cover cause, having come from the sector and a fundraising team environment.
