We have partnered with one of Australia's leading FMCG businesses who are on a mission to make a difference in the health of their consumers and the world we live in.

2020 is a year of innovation and growth which will see them venture into new channels and launch new product ranges. As part of their strategy, they have created a new role for a Procurement Category Manager to join them.

The role
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will have full accountability for developing category strategies for the sourcing of ingredients, materials, packaging and services for ANZ. In addition you will:

  • Manage key supplier relationships and identify new suppliers in the ANZ market
  • Ensure the steady supply of ingredients, materials and packing with contingency plans put in place to mitigate the risk of short supplies
  • Work with the global procurement team to prepare information and analysis of the portfolio, including price bench-marking and total cost analysis, to enable proper budgeting, cash forecasting and forecast variance analysis as needed
  • Lead the way in continuous improvement programs to support the delivery of value creation projects and innovation for the ANZ market
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues to successfully deliver the 2020/21 strategic initiatives

What we're looking for
Procurement Category Manager with 3+ years' experience in directs and indirects preferably within FMCG. You will also demonstrate the following:-

  • Passionate about sustainability and creating a healthier world for all
  • Relationship builder who can effectively work cross functionally with internal stakeholders and suppliers alike
  • Shrewd negotiator who can analyse and negotiate trading terms, create supplier agreements, run tender processes and effectively manage SLAs
  • Analytical mindset with the capabilities to develop financial modelling and business cases delivering them in digestible format
  • Thriving in a fast paced, collaborative, entrepreneurial and start-up environment
