Our client is a leading Australian service based organisation headquartered in central Melbourne. Due to a number of recent developments to systems and structure internally, they have an opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join their team in this newly created role.
About the role
The Procurement Development Manager is a key position responsible for oveseeing business wide spend and supplier analytics, in addition to procurement related process improvement. You will be a key interface between the procurement function and internal stakeholders in shared services, in addition to a key interface with larger external stakeholders and vendors. You will provide insights and recommendations to the procurement team around category strategy and execution, in addition to leading ad hoc projects that focus on anything from P2P optimisation to sourcing or compliance management.
Skills & Experience
- A procurement professional with an analytical, project or consultancy background.
- Highly effective written, verbal and influencing skills and a 'team player' mindset.
- Extensive procurement and supply chain experience, with tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
