Job Description

About the company

This is one of the world's largest food and beverage companies with extensive operations aross the globe. Within Australia they produce a range of category leading products that are household names, sold via the major retailers. 2018 promises to be a big year for innovation and the pipeline is full of some exciting new projects. They have created this new role to help the product development team deliver on its objectives.

About the role

As a Product Development Technologist you will support the team to deliver innovation projects through to commercialisation, this will consist of product line extensions and renovations as well as brand new products. Initially, you'll be supporting projects run by others in the team by running activities such as sensory, trials, laboratory work etc, and thereafter the opportunity will arise to manage projects of your own.

About you

We're looking for someone who has a relevant tertiary degree in food science or technology, and experience working in a product development role within the food and beverage industry. We're flexible on how much experience you have, but the remuneration the role offers is best suited to someone with between 1 and 3 years of experience. We'd consider strong graduates as well. The role is based in regional Northern Victoria, so you either need to be living in the region or prepared to relocate there for the duration of the contract.

Benefits

For someone available for a contract role, this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a massive global company. You'll gain experience working on interesting projects that you'll be able to see commercialised as products on supermarket shelves, and you can maintain flexibility to consider this as a short or long term role.
