About the Company

A great opportunity to join a global business who specialise in outdoor retail products on a 12-month contract basis with the mindset of extension. Due to an increased focus on innovation, they are in a position to bring on board a Product Engineer who will specialise on a specific area of the business.

About the Role

The purpose of the Product Engineer is to maintain the current product portfolio under the individual's responsibility. This will involve supporting and leading the implementation of innovation within the category by having the technical capability to bring projects from concept to commercialisation.

The role's key responsibilities will include working with suppliers overseas, warranty documentation, demonstration videos, packaging requirements and designing / improvement of products across the portfolio.

To be successful in the role, you will need to have the knowledge surrounding the local market within the projects in your portfolio. This can involve innovation, continuous improvement, life management and end of life for specific products and communicating this to the market and the business.

Skills & Experience

This is an exciting and integral role within the business for future growth and your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Degree qualified (Ideally mechanical background)
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills with experience working with multiple stakeholders, highly desirable working with suppliers.
  • Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with the willingness to learn.
