This multinational food supplier boasts some of Australia's most iconic brands across a variety of categories. Due to growth and a focus on people development, there currently exists multiple production leadership positions based at their manufacturing site located in the North Eastern suburbs. Ideally suiting candidates with people leadership, continuous improvement and problem-solving skills.

About the role

Working on the day shift, the Production Manager is a leadership role with responsibility for up to 100 staff. You will ensure team members are motivated and engaged in their role, with clear accountabilities and providing training where required. Your responsibility will include labour allocation and budgeting, safety, quality and production outputs meeting the required levels whilst leading a culture of continuous improvement and team success.

Skills & Experience

The critical skills required to be successful in this role include people leadership, communication, organisation and a mindset of continuous improvement. Your background should include experience in an operational environment where you will have developed resilience, decision making capability, and the ability to manage complex problems in a systematic way. Ideally you will possess a degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or science but this is not mandatory. Exposure to OH&S and in particular OHSAS 18001 is highly desirable
