With a Regional Head Office in Melbourne, yet diverse and extensive customer base in the region, they have established a reputation for excellence and innovation across multiple food categories. In line with a global restructure and the localised growth strategy, this organisation is now looking to secure an experienced Production Manager to oversee its Asia Pacific Division.
About the role
Working closely with and reporting into the Operations Manager, your core responsibilities are to manage the daily production processes of the factory by providing direction and leadership to all production lines at the plant in a safe and timely manner. To ensure products achieve company quality and quantity standards in a customer focused, efficient and cost-effective manner. The position is also responsible for continuous improvement of plant safety and product quality, as well as operating costs and efficiencies.
Skills & Experience
Your previous experience in a similar management position or as a supervisor looking to step up will help you succeed in this role, as will:
- Manage established production systems and processes to minimise operational costs, reduce wastage and maximise productivity
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and strategies to manage continuous improvement
- Manage employee performance such as, improving individual skills, and enhancing teamwork by developing training systems and ensuring everyone is fully trained.
- Have exceptional communication skills, not only in delivering a consistent message to employees but also cross functionally with quality, warehousing and operations
