About the organisation

Our client is a Foundation which was established over 5 years ago by a tech entrepreneur and his wife, a public health professional. The Foundation has a goal to make Australia the world's most effective government, with a focus on the long-term interests of the Australian community. The Foundation is politically neutral and motivated only by public good. They incubate, deliver and support practical improvements to how government works. Their focus is on three key areas - effective elected representatives, robust state institutions and quality policy dialogue.

About the role

Following the record sale of the Founder's tech business in June 2021, the Foundation is significantly scaling up their operations and is looking for a smart, energised and diligent Program and Marketing Coordinator to join their team. Reporting into the Portfolio Manager, you will assist with the delivery of the annual prize and coordinate and contribute to the research and delivery of several programs. You will engage a range of key stakeholders including cohorts of colleagues, agencies, consultants, experts, esteemed partners, former prime ministers, premiers and senior bureaucrats. You will also be responsible for grant administration, running marketing and communication campaigns and identifying opportunities to enhance the work of the Foundation where possible.

Skills & Experience

It is essential you have:

  • Demonstrated professional experience working in fast paced, commercial environments
  • Impeccable organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within cross functional teams
  • A growth and commercial mindset with the drive and passion to make a difference
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

The team at the Foundation are high performing, collaborative, smart and passionate about what they do. They reward performance, encourage fresh ideas and are accountable and always operate with integrity. It is a dog friendly workplace and the Foundation is fully funded - meaning there is no requirement for fundraising by any staff members!
