About the role
As the Project Engineer for Controls and Automation you will take over the back end of a new line installation working alongside process and mechanical counterparts, to oversee installation by suppliers, conduct commissioning, and hand over the project to operations and maintenance. This is approximately six months of runway, with the expectation that another major project will kick off during this time and thus facilitate a new role to move across to.
We're looking for an engineer with experience on installation and commissioning of manufacturing controls and automation:
- Engineering degree (likely electrical / electronics), but we're open to mechanical engineers who have the right experience
- Experience overseeing controls and automation installation, and commissioning. ideally for new machines and lines
- Experience with Siemens PLC
- Process industry experience relevant to consumer goods (food, beverage, dairy, chemical, personal or home care etc)
If you're available for a contract role, this one could potentially extend into multiple years. During the time that this project is closed out, it is expected that another major project will be approved for commencement, and this project will require the same role for the duration.
