About the company
This is not your average manufacturing company, and their story flies in the face of much of the news you read about the Australian manufacturing industry. Highly profitable with few true competitors, significant investment into their local operations, lots of spendng on capital and R&D, strong and increasing demand for products in both local and export markets, with a global network of manufacturing locations. Having invested in their business at a time where their competitors have cut back, few would argue that this is one of the most successful businesses in Australia today.
About the role
As a Project Engineer you will work within a large project team structure in the delivery of a new manufacturing site. You will execute packages of capital project work, some independently and some larger ones under the direction of a Project Manager. The projects will be broad in nature as are the deliverables for a new site, but will most likely be focussed on liquid processing equipment and plant utilities and services. You'll take projects from their initial concept, through functional specifications, procurement, installation, commissioning and project handover.
We are essentially looking for engineers with prior experience working on manufacturing based capital projects, specifically:
- A Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree
- Experience in a relevant manufacturing industry (ideal would be beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, food, chemical etc)
- Experience working on, or managing, capital investment projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and infuencing skills
- Technical competence relating to process equipment and/or plant utilities
This is a great opportunity to work on a massive capital investment project for one of the countries most successful businesses. Most engineers will never see a project of this scale and complexity, so as an up and coming engineer this is something that could genuinely take your career to another level. This role pays a competitive remuneration package for this particular level - it would be ideal for an engineer who is experienced, but not necessarily senior. Multiple roles are available.
