About the Company
Our client is vital component of the Australian healthcare system and in "BAU" times is responsible for the supply of equipment and consumables to portfolio of hospitals and clinics across Victoria. As such, they have been entrusted with the supply of PPE and critical equipment to the healthcare system during this unprecedented time. As part of this they require a Project Manager to establish an additional warehouse operation.
This project is vital and will require a candidate that has significant experience in set up a warehouse from scratch in a high-volume environment. Working with other consultants and stakeholders across the operation your role will be to select a site, engage suppliers for rack and materials handling equipment, project manage the set and commissioning as stock flows through. This will be all encompassing and have responsibility for all process and policy for the site including safety.
** Please note this role is not based in or near a hospital**
We are looking for an experienced logistics professional who has worked on similar projects before. That includes the setting up of a greenfield site and the development of all SOPs. Dedicated project management experience is advantageous, but logistics management and being involved in project of this nature is also suitable.
