About the Role

Reporting through to the Innovation and Strategy Director, this is a critical role for the business, as the growth of the business is intrinsically linked to innovation, product development and delivering on strategic projects. To meet the growth and excel, the company recognises that you need to be ahead of the curve in terms of innovation, best practice, continuous improvement, and risk and compliance. As project manager you will be the driving force behind the success of several innovative and NPD projects. The projects will be diverse in nature and could be NPD related, compliance and risk, regulatory, and/or continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate needs to be able to relate to a diverse range of people, be an expert in influencing without authority, and hold superior communication and consultative skills. They need to facilitate outcomes by using best practice methodologies LEAN, Six Sigma, Agile, SDP, and ideally have extensive knowledge and experience in Innovation Process Management (SCRUM). They must be capable of running commercial projects with a spend of $1m - $20m and have at least 5 years' experience in a similar sized business or greater. The tertiary background of the person is flexible, however due to the nature of the projects and the manufacturing aspects, marketing, innovation, or a commercial related field would be beneficial, so you understand the commercial and technical scope of the projects. Collaboration, enthusiasm and being self-directed is important, and the ability to multitask and meet key milestones, is essential.
