About the business
This is a leading global manufacturing business producing R&D driven, complex products, that are made across their vast network of high speed automated manufacturing plants. Having achieved exceptional commercial results over a sustained period they continue to invest in their physical operations. Currently, they are delivering one of Australian manufacturing's most exciting capital programs.
About the role
In this role you'll be delivering packages of building and mechanical services projects from end to end, such as HVAC, fire protection, hydraulics and more. Based on the stage of the program many of these projects will be in the construction stage, so you'll be heavily involved in working with vendors and contractors, supervising construction activity and ensuring works are delivered according to shop drawings. You will direct a project team of engineers which may include up to three people, and you'll be directly managing your own budgets and schedules.
We're looking for someone with the following:
- Relevant engineering degree (likely mechanical)
- Engineering capital project management experience, including budgets and schedules
- Experience directing other engineers within a project team
- Experience with buildng and mechanical services subject matter, such as HVAC, fire protection and hydraulics
- Experience on manufacturing based capital projects is preferred
If this looks like a role that 'fits,' here's why you should apply - because it will allow you to work on a huge program of capital works the likes of which few will have the opportunity to work on in their careers, to work at a company that produces products you can be proud of and cares about being the best at making them, that has a large team of skilled engineers to support you and for you to learn from, and because it is a business that has been able to boast a capital program that has done nothing but grow for the last ten years. There are next to no other manufacturers that can make these claims.
