About the company

Our client is an ASX listed Australian retailer that has grown from strength to strength and they are the "go to" for their specialist products. They are going through a period of supply chain evolution and are looking for a Project Manager help establish the next phase of the transformation. The initial project will run till the end of October and there is a real chance of a permanent position becoming available.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Logistics Project Manager will be responsible for the establishment of a new DC model as a pilot and test model for the rest of the national network. This will involve fitting out an exciting brown field site and getting it operational. This will include all equipment, workflows and equally important will be the work force planning and building a team for success.

The Person

This is a business-critical role and as such, they are looking for a proven logistics professional. Someone that has run sites and has a track record in getting distribution centres operational and developing team-based work systems and building highly engaged workforces. Experience in a large retail distribution model would be highly regarded.
