Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer in the heavy automotive industry with a purchasing team based in the Melbourne head office.
Due to some internal movement an opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Officer to join the team for an immediate start.
About the role
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the replenishment of the spare parts for 5000 + SKUs across a national branch network. Your role will be to run MRP and analyze MIN/MAX reports and raise PO's accordingly. As well as this, you will be responsible for expediting orders and communicating with the various branch managers across the network.
Key to this role will be your ability to build rapport and develop relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders in the branch network.
Skills & Experience
- Purchasing or procurement experience in parts or consumables is ideal, but not a necessity
- An analytical mindset and strong negotiation attention to detail
- Exposure to MRP and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
