About the role
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, this business-critical role will manage the purchasing function and procure raw materials, finished goods and services. You will contribute to strategic objectives through cost reduction and skilled negotiations.
- Procure raw materials from local and international suppliers
- Build strong relationships with suppliers locally and internationally
- Provide analytics to identify cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives of the purchasing/procurement function
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience gained from within a manufacturing organisation.
ERP experience is highly regarded, with the opportunity to be involved in implementing our new system.
Strong analytics, supplier management and negotiation skills.
Previous experience leading a small team would be advantageous.
