About the role

Based in their head office in Thomastown you will be responsible for all aspects of the Quality function, from food safety and systems, the QA production process, internal and external audits, leading and mentoring staff (including a team of 3-4 direct reports), auditing and driving Quality site-wide, driving a safety culture as we head towards a "zero-harm" workplace along with managing budgets and providing quality advice to senior management. This is an exciting and integral role within our business that has exposure from senior management through to our production staff.

Skills & Experiences

This role is imperative to maintaining quality standards throughout their product range. Your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Tertiary qualified in Food Science or equivalent
  • Experience working in a food environment, preferably nuts or similar plant-based products
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and validations along with a strong understanding of the commercial impacts of quality assurance
  • Impeccable communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate and negotiate with all internal and external stakeholders
