The Role

Reporting to an impressive Sales Director, this Regional Sales Manager will lead a diverse team of 10+ across multiple channels and market verticals including direct B2B supply & install (enterprise corporate, facility management firms, government & institutional accounts), architectural specification (commercial builders & architects, project driven) and national distributors & specialty merchants. Service & maintenance are also important revenue streams and a significant proportion of turnover comes from projects. The role is responsible for the largest budget nationally across NSW/ACT ($60M+), the remit to continue highly profitable, double-digit growth and build on the impressive team culture which values diversity, inclusion, high engagement & collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an experienced team of BDM's, KAM's, ASM's and Specification Managers
  • Maintain and build relationships with key wholesalers, large Blue Chip key accounts, Government departments, Facility Managers, and Retail partners.
  • Business Development Planning with buyers, proprietors, and business owners
  • Maintain a strong internal culture of collaboration amongst various departments
  • Use of Salesforce to manage the pipeline, opportunities, and customer data together with a disciplined KPI approach to driving activity levels and measure performance
  • Manage & drive future project opportunities through re-sellers, merchants, specifiers, and other key stakeholders
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets in line with budget expectations


To be considered for this amazing opportunity you will be currently working as a Sales Manager in a blue-chip, Tier 1 building materials business, leading a multi-channel sales team in a best practice environment. Passionate about leading and developing your team in sales excellence, you will be a values-led leader who puts their team, customer and business first with an inclusive and highly collaborative leadership style.

You will be highly organised, self-motivated and outcome driven whilst being highly proficient in CRM utilisation of (ideally) Salesforce to manage the pipeline, opportunities and customer data together with a disciplined KPI approach to driving activity levels and measure performance.

With highly developed commercial acumen (including analytical skills, sales strategy & key account growth), polished communication and presentation skills, you will ideally have tertiary qualifications and must be able to articulate how you've built inclusive, high performance sales teams and achieved commercial success in similar channels. Quality relationships built on trust & existing networks across the commercial, government & retail (electrical & plumbing) markets will be a significant advantage.
