This publicly listed global dairy company has seen significant growth, and is respected as an industry leader for their specialty products. Due to recent expansion into new markets and having experienced strong demand for products through COVID-19, they are seeking an supply chain planning specialist to join their team in this newly created S&OP Manager role.

About the role
The S&OP Manager and their team will be responsible for ensuring that inventory availability meets future customer demand for a complex category of manufactured products. This role will be responsible for the development of an IBP process that will improve forecast accuracy for a number of SKU's sold through multiple sales channels, finished goods supply and production planning efficiency and inventory holdings across a local network.

Key Responsibilities

* Establish strategies to drive supply chain & operational performance improvement
* Identify & contribute to strategic supply chain initiatives
* Facilitate and drive the IBP process with commercial and production partners
* Drive quality of the production forecasts for production partners
* Establish best in class practices to drive improvements across production forecasting and inventory management
* Monitor, manage and minimize inventory write offs and risks for existing and new products
* Participate in NPD process and identify areas of risks associated with capacity, materials or financial risks
* Work with the Commercial teams to ensure the successful execution of programs
* Management of Procurement of ingredients, packaging materials, consumables, and other manufacturing products
* Conduct material requirements forecast & analysis of major ingredients
* Manage 1 direct report, and look to build team of planners to support business growth

Skills and Experienc

* 5+ years experience in supply chain planning roles within a manufacturing environment, ideally in food or beverage
* Relevant tertiary qualifications within Finance, Business, Supply Chain or a similar area
* Strong communications and stakeholder management skills
* Prior experience owning the demand and supply review process for a business
* Extensive ERP experience e.g. SAP/ Microsoft Dynamics/ Oracle, including ERP rollout could be desirable
* Previous experience managing a team would be advantageous
