About the role

Reporting to Regional General Manager for this $300mill + Victorian business and acting as a 2IC to the RGM this mission critical leadership role will see the successful candidate take full control and responsibility for a team of Area Sales Executives and Key Account Managers to set the new business growth and customer retention strategy in the market.


  • The Sales Manager is responsible for driving winning sales strategies through the team
  • Define new business sales strategy, in line with overall company objectives
  • Lead a high performing sales culture
  • Set best practice key account management processes and plans with the team to retain, win and grow customer relationships
  • Build lasting customer relationships through excellence in service as well as through offering strong technical support
  • Be hands-on with the team in developing large scale strategic sales opportunities at a state level across assigned key customers and new business targets
  • Assist with preparation of major tenders, quotations, RFI, RFP and manage the bid process
  • Adhere to CRM compliance to track all customer engagement activities, sales opportunities, and financial reporting

Skills & Experience

  • Strong sales leadership experience and technical knowledge of the civil infrastructure construction market is a must
  • Engaging and supportive sales manager who can coach, train, develop and lift sales capability
  • Knowledge and experience of lesding major bids and tendors
  • The ideal candidate will be career minded, have a corporate presentation style, and who has the desire to develop further into a more senior leadership role in the future with this award-winning employer of choice
  • Be able to influence, built excellent internal collaborative interdepartmental relationships and have worked in a large complex business environment
