Our client is a successful FMCG business with a suite of both heritage and challenger brands across multiple categories within both retail and food service. The business is in a current growth phase, having recently acquired new brands into the portfolio which are being integrated into the broader portfolio, with new investment and focus. .
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to oversee two key brands both in YOY growth. One is a premium, imported European brand and the second is a growing challenger brand within the better-for-you food space.
About the role
This role is such an exciting opening for a gun marketer wanting a role with a high level of ownership keen to drive overall brand strategy with a focus on NPD and developing key opportunities within the portfolio, with a focus on driving brand awareness and taking the brands into the mainstream. You will also own the P+L as well as manage two direct reports.
You will define the strategic objectives for the brands, identifying any potential stretch opportunities from an innovation perspective. You will also have the freedom to overhaul and implement marketing programs for both existing and approved new products and business opportunities - including product positioning, launching, pack design, pricing, and support material.
You will have the opportunity to lead a brand and packaging refresh and work alongside the Innovation team to expand the ranges across both brands, developing NPD to move into adjacent categories as well as new formats and flavour territories.
This role will be best suited to a highly organised and high performing Senior Brand Manager with a strong passion for innovation and FMCG. You'll gain great exposure to an outstanding and popular multi-international brand, as well as be a part of a vibrant and super energetic team looking to drive a new way of thinking and approach to innovation.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in relevant space e.g. Marketing, Commerce or similar
- Prior experience as a Brand Manager or Senior Brand Manager within FMCG
- Prior experience in developing brand strategy and marketing communications
- Experience with leading consumer centric innovation and NPD development via stage gate
- Proven experience in owning P+L and managing marketing spend
- Prior people management and leadership experience is ideal but not essential
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), presentation and relationship building skills
