The procurement function is being led by a high calibre leader, leading a very localised procurement strategy. Their offices are based in the South Eastern suburbs

About the role

The Senior Category Manager Directs role is a senior leadership role focused on developing and managing the directs portfolio (ingredients, packaging, external manufacturing) including identifying cost savings opportunities, establishing alternate sources of supply, mitigating supply chain and supplier risks, delivering long term sustainable value, robust governance, identifying and delivering on NPD, driving continuous improvement and introducing value adding innovation. As part of the role you will be responsible for one or two direct reports.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need to present with the following experience

  • Procurement experience gained from a global FMCG organisation, with matrixed reporting lines
  • Experience managing direct categories (raw materials, packaging, ingredients, external manufacturing)
  • Experience managing circa $100m in spend
  • 5+ years experience managing direct reports or small teams
