The Role

This role will involve strategic ownerships as well as hands on management of the supply chain / logistics spend in a business with a national footprint and complex network. Leading a small team, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and supply relationship management of suppliers across inbound, outbound, warehousing and sea freight.

Key responsibilities for the role will include

  • Delivering sourcing activities whilst proposing innovative ways to achieve a more commercial outcome
  • Cost reduction and delivery of budgeted savings
  • Improved quality and service level from the supplier base
  • Innovation on process/systems

This role is suited to a proven procurement candidate with a track record of working within supply chain and logistics procurement and working with leading 3PL providers at national level. You will be a subject matter expert and have the ability to work with senior stakeholders both internally and externally. A natural communicator, you will have good energy and thrive in a business going through positive change.
