About the role
This newly created role forms part of the close knit executive leadership team, the Senior Commercial Manager is a leadership role with responsibility for supporting the Managing Director on setting and executing on the growth strategy to double the business over the next five years through creating new revenue streams with existing technology across industrial B2B markets and further growing the business through more traditional manufacturing and B2C retail markets, you will provide clear strategic direction, develop key metrics and milestones and from the front, drive the growth trajectory of the organisation. Your responsibility will include, people leadership, Business (Sales and Marketing) management responsibility for all key local and global multinational customers, leading customer contract strategy, tender preparation and negotiations, Business Development for emerging new product categories and identification of future business acquisition opportunities, utilise customer insights and research to drive the input for NPD projects to develop new markets and continue to expand on the diversification strategies of the business and identification of possible future business acquisitions that align with the business diversification strategies.
Skills & Experience
The critical skills required to be successful in this role include people leadership, a technical or engineering background is preferred but not essential, minimum 10 years in sales, marketing or commercial roles is desirable, experience in financial management with prior P&L accountability for a business's revenue, demonstrated experience in HR and people/talent management, deliver success from building strong and highly functioning teams, demonstrated ability to manage large customer accounts/contracts and grow value for both the customer and the business, experience in strategy development and deployment, proven capability to lead large contract negotiations, change management experience and high quality business administration skills.
