About our client

Our client is a family owned FMCG business who have been around for over 90 years. With offices all across Australia, they are renowned for providing quality and premium product to a range of customers, and source from some of the most highly sought-after producers in the world. As a result of continued growth, there is now a newly created opportunity for a Key Account Manager / Business Development Manager based in Brisbane.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for generating new business and managing existing business within key Hotel groups across Brisbane. Working also with existing customers, you will be required to sell in new products and educate stakeholders accordingly, conduct regular sales analysis to develop business plans and ensure customers are always satisfied with products and service. You will also be involved in negotiating contracts and pricing for new business opportunities.

Skills & experience

Success in this role will come from business development and / or key account management experience from within the FMCG, retail, consumer goods or food service industry. You will possess exceptional negotiation and communication skills, accompanied with a passion for working in a team environment. Strong financial acumen is required, accompanied with an ability to build rapport quickly.
