Media advisor role with a reputable non-profit health organisation responding to COVID-19 enquiries
About the Company
Our client is a not for profit membership organisation in the health space. They offer training, resources and support to their practitioners around Australia so they can thrive and provide quality services. Due to a gap on the team, and the recent global crisis with COVID-19, we are seeking an immediately available Media Advisor to support their team. Immediate start, with possibility to transition to an ongoing role.
About the Role
Supported by a Director of Communications, you will provide highly valued support to the small head office team across wide-ranging external communications-based activities. You will produce well written content, tailored to a variety of audiences and channels. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Speaking to journalists and responding to the current high volume of enquiries related to COVID-19
- Writing media releases and background briefing papers
- Produce and deliver a diverse range of high-quality communication advice and content including articles and website content
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience working in a high-volume media relations role. You are a writer by trade, with the ability to understand newsworthy content and media angles. Previous experience working in health or community services organisations highly advantageous.
