Lamb Weston, who specialises in the manufacturing and distribution of quality frozen potato products have an impressive market share across the QSR, Food service, distributor, and retail channels. Quality is a core focus for the business, and they are looking for an experienced professional to manage food safety, quality and regulatory affairs in Australia and New Zealand region. They are in an exciting period of growth and are looking for a Senior Quality Specialist to join the team across there two facilities based in Hallam.

About the Role

The role will join the quality team with the primary responsibility to provide food safety, quality systems and regulatory affairs support as well as technical solutions for Lamb Weston in Australia and New Zealand. It will also involve working with the international counterparts to share quality trends developing and regulatory affair requirements in Australia.

The aim of the role is to form an outstanding relationship between customers and Lamb Weston, as managing customer relations is critical to success. The individual would be engaged in new product opportunities, product performance issues, customer success and the cost of doing business as this can positively impact strong relationships.

Critical to the role will be the ability to give immediate direction to all employees by using open communication and having everyone's best interest in mind. It is integral to the position to build relationships based on mutual trust by aligning Lamb Weston's food safety, quality and regulatory affairs programs cross functionally.

Skills and experience

This is an exciting and integral role within the business for future growth and your experience and skill set include the following:

  • Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field, preferably.
  • Knowledgeable of food safety principles, quality principles, and regulatory affairs requirements.
  • Experience of customer restaurant operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to present to both customers and internal contacts.
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and outstanding interpersonal skills.
