Their owner is focused on growing the business and in order to do so sees a strong opportunity to revolutionise their manufacturing operations by employing a skilled Operations Manager.
About the role
As the Site Operations Manager you'll take ownership of end to end manufacturing operations from materials receival through manufacturing and dispatch. The operation is moderate-high volume and semi-automated, with significant opportunity to improve efficiency through basic manufacturing structures and continuous improvement tools and strategies. You'll ensure consistency and improvement in key manufacturing metrics - safety, quality, volume, cost, while building a positive and cohesive team culture. You'll also apply your technical understanding to improving the performance and reliability of plant machinery and processes.
This role would best suit someone who has mechanical aptitude or technical understanding of production processes, and experience leading teams in production environments
- Most likely a degree background (ie. engineering), or possibly trades
- Background in manufacturing operations
- Experience leading manufacturing production teams
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and strategies
- Experience creating reliability and performance improvements
- Flexibility required to lead a 24 hour operation
- Strong relationship and team building approach
