My client is a family owned FMCG business who manufacture and import a range of leading food & beverage products. Locally based in Melbourne, they have a rich history of quality and brand loyalty and pride themselves on their family oriented culture. Innovation has been key to their success and is continually backed by the business, and as a result they have recently released a range of chilled products that dominating the grocery channel.

About the role

Reporting into the General Manager, this business-critical role will be responsible for managing a sizeable team (15) across VIC, SA, WA and TAS. With a focus on the independent grocery and continental channels, this role will be instrumental in driving development and coaching relating to these customers, whilst also identifying new opportunities for growth. This role will hold P&L responsibility and be held accountable for state-based business planning, reporting and training.

Skills & experience

To be successful in this role, you must come with significant leadership experience at either state or regional level from within the FMCG industry. Ideally degree qualified, you will have a high level of commercial & financial acumen, and have experience in leading a team through change and growth. An understanding of the independent grocery channel will be advantageous.
