About the role

In this key people management role, you will provide inspirational leadership to the Victorian field sales team of through effective coaching and mentoring. Managing a team of 3 area sales manager, and reporting to the Head of Commercial, you have full state ownership for budgeting and running the P&L. Acting as the conduit between the Head Office and Field team you will identify new business opportunities, support the team on closing and renewing tenders and ensure continuous improvement across the foodservice channel. This will include a strong 'in field' focus on coaching and mentoring, executing business initiatives localised to your region as well as creating new ways of working to install high performance. You will also manage the state budgets and core financials, as well as some key state based accounts.

Skills & Experience

You are likely a highly successful State Sales Manager or Field Manager with successful leadership experience. You are an influential team leader with a passion for food, you possess key strengths in mentoring & business commercials for succession.

  • Sales experience in consumer goods, foodservice experience is highly regarded
  • Strong people management experience, developing field teams of business development or sales professionals
  • Strengths identifying business opportunities and growing territories through successful account management
  • Excellent selling & negotiation skills through effective stakeholder management
  • Strong commercial acumen, budgeting, forecasting and P&L understanding
  • Passionate and energetic storyteller
