Our client is a global listed food business that dominate the international market with their quality products through the retail and foodservice channels. The business boasts a family culture that is felt through the business from the top down, which has resulted in continued growth for their people and brand. Their Australian presence is one that is growing as a result of a recent acquisition and investment and as a result, there is now an opportunity for an experienced State Sales Manager to join the team.
About the role
Reporting to the Sales Director, this role will be responsible for managing a team of 2 Business Development Managers within the foodservice channel in Qld. This role will drive best practice field activity including customer planning, new busines development and more importantly driving brand and product awareness to increase market share in line with growth objectives. Collaborating with the wider sales team, you will drive commercial change in the sales function, to take the current sales approach and way of working to a sophisticated and higher level.
Skills & experience
Success in this role will come from demonstrated leadership experience within the FMCG / foodservice industry - this can be on either a national or state level. Ideally degree qualified, you will have a natural ability to take people on a journey, take pride in your learning and development approach to others as well as have exceptional commercial and financial acumen to drive sales growth.
