My client is a privately owned Australian FMCG business who specialise in manufacturing premium food and beverage products found locally and internationally. They pride themselves on their exceptional knowledge of their consumers, markets and products, which has contributed to their strong success over the years. As a result of this growth, there is now an opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join the team in Melbourne.
About the role
Reporting to the Sales Director, this business-critical role will be responsible for generating new business and maximizing existing business throughout the foodservice channel, such as Hospitals, Aged Care and Industrial customers. You will be tasked managing an account development plan, where you will drive customer excellence, pricing objectives and managing contract negotiations. Reporting, forecasting and business planning will also develop a component of this role. This role has the potential to also develop into a hybrid role, of account management and leadership.
Skills & experience
Success in this role will come from demonstrated experience as either a Business Development Manager or Key / State Account Manager from within the FMCG industry, from within either foodservice, HORECA or retail. You will have exceptional communication, negotiation and analytical skills, and have a passion for driving new business initiatives. You will be a result orientated professional who thrives on working on a team environment.
