This business is an Australian success story that has grown double digits year on year. They produce and supply luxurious beauty products that are sold through all major retail channels and into the Asian market. They are a small and entrepreneurial business that is enjoying tremendous success. Due to this growth and the need for maternity cover, they are looking for an Operations and Supply Chain lead for a 12-month contract.
The Operations and Supply Chain Lead is the key stakeholder tasked with managing the business's supply
Chain and logistics. They will be responsible for inventory management, including managing, sourcing and
ordering componentry with manufacturers, contract manufacturing, warehousing, forecasting and end-of-month stock reporting. As well as this you will maintaining strong relationships with the sales and marketing team to ensure service levels are meet to the customer base.
To be successful in this role you will be comfortable working in a small and dynamic team that embraces an entrepreneurial spirit. You will have worked in a role that requires you to have breath and broad responsibility where you were wearing multiple hats. You will have a strong inventory background and understand the principals of manufacturing and BOM's. Experience in beauty products would be highly advantageous as would working with other similar products that are fast moving and "on trend".
This is a 12-month fixed term contract initially with the view that with continued growth more permanent opportunity may present.
