Headquartered in Europe, our client is a multinational conglomerate who have experienced exponential growth through acquisition over recent years. They are a major player in the bakery category in Europe and the UK and have also experienced success globally in other regions such as Australia.
The organisation has recently acquired an Australian food business and are looking to leverage the local manufacturing and distribution network to drive growth in the Australian region. As the business continues to go through transformation they are also looking to build their supply chain capability, which has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to join their team.
About the Role
Reporting through to the regional leadership team, initially in an individual contributor capacity, the Supply Chain Manager will be initially responsible for the evaluation of outsourced supply chain service providers and the delivery of any programmes of work required to improve the current network.
Once this initial phase of the role has been carried out, the Supply Chain Manager's position will evolve and expand to include the leadership of a number of other related functions in the supply chain and procuremet arena, giving them overall accountability for the end to end management of an international and local distribution network for a business with large growth plans.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a supply chain professional with a demonstrated track record of success in international logistics, warehousing and planning in the consumer goods sector. You will be a first class influencer and negotiator and have the ability to manage effectively both up and down the structure. A customer focused approach to supply chain operations and sound problem solving skills will be a key to your success in this role.
