They have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced supply chain professional to join the senior leadership team in the capacity of Supply Chain Manager.
About the Role
Reporting through to the General Manager and leading a small team, the Supply Chain Manager is a key role responsible for leading the sourcing, procurement, inventory and logistics functions of a national business with a complex distribution network.
You will further develop current inventory processes and systems to reduce slow moving and obsolete stock and increase inventory availability to the customer, in addition to generating value to the business through improved procurement process.
The new product development process will be streamlined as a result of your input into raw materials sourcing and inbound international logistics management and the organisation will benefit from improved customer service levels through better planning, inventory availability and distribution.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a supply chain professional with a demonstrated track record of success in inventory optimisation, sourcing and procurement and international logistics management, ideally from the manufacturing sector. You be a natural leader of people and can influence and manage effectively both up and down the structure as well as across functions. You will be flexible enough to switch between strategic and operational activities where required and your customer focused approach and continuous improvement mindset will be key to your success in this role.
