Our client is a highly successful Australian organisation and the number one supplier of a range of produts into the health and beauty industry. Due to significant growth in both their domestic and international markets, they now have an opportunity available for an experienced supply chain professional to join their leadership team based in Melbourne, in the capacity of Supply Chain Manager.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team currently focused on domestic logistics and inventory functions, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for driving the performance of key functions including international and domestic freight, supplier relationship and performance management and global inventory optimisation.
In addition to the leadership of international and domestic logistics, you will introduce more sophisticated processes and ways of working as they relate to demand forecasting, inventory / supply planning and broader integrated business planning. In addition, you will also introduce imporoved tools and reports to provide the organisation with better analytical capability for more effective decision making.
You will drive the supply chain strategy for new product introductions and new business opportunities both locally and globally, lead supply chain continuous improvement initiatives, and continue to support this expanding organisation with a best in class distribution network.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be an experienced supply chain professional with a demonstrated track record of success in international and domestc freight, inventory management and supply chain planning. Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you will present with a commercial mindset and the willingness to engage key stakeholders both internal and external to get the best for your business. Your first-class communication, influencing and negotiation skills will be key to your success in this role.
