Primary Purpose
Our client is seeking an experienced planner, to lead the supply planning & purchasing processes for the business, in this newly created role. You will ensure the monthly & weekly supply plans fully support inventory availability to meet customer demand as well balancing the objectives of minimising inventories & minimising cost of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse & report on supply performance metrics
  • Maintain the supply planning system & quality of planning master data
  • Generate monthly supply plans for planned purchases & projected inventory
  • Monitor & report on excess, slow-moving or obsolete inventory
  • Generate supplier forecasts, & facilitate supplier feedback on their capacity & capability to supply
  • Raise, monitor & receipt purchase orders for both products & inbound freight
  • Reconcile supplier invoices & purchase orders, resolving discrepancies
  • Work with the demand planner to facilitate resolution of demand-supply imbalances

Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualified in supply chain or other relevant discipline
  • 3+ years prior experience in Supply Planning or Material Planning
  • Excellent mathematical & analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving, decision-making & negotiation skills
  • Experience in using Planning systems, preferably Microsoft AX
  • Advanced excel capability
