About the role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading the performance of a large national distribution facility, driving cost reductions and improving customer service levels. In this high-profile leadership role, your key accountability will also include:
- Leading a large team of 4 direct reports and 50+ indirect reports across a single shift, 5 days per week.
- Ensuring that warehouse operations are aligned to broader business strategies around safety, service and cost.
- Bringing a lean / continuous improvement mindset to the role and driving supply chain process and systems improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring that the broader supply chain function - planning, inventory and procurement - are supported by a sound logistics function.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a logistics professional with a demonstrated track record of success in either the industrial or 3PL industries. You will have had experience overseeing a large team and distribution facility, driving cost reductions and improving customer service levels. Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you will also possess first class interpersonal and demonstrated influencing abilities.
