About the Company

Leading global manufacturer of mechanical, electronic and pneumatic components. The primary customer base is the rail and mining industries. Based in Granville, you will work in a team of 5. The specific section you will be working with is HVAC/air conditioning units for trains (rollingstock).

About the Role

Due to company growth over the last few years, the Customer Quality team is growing. This is a newly created role for a Warranty Engineer. The focus of this role is to look for someone who is customer focused, with strong communication skills and has high attention to detail.

When a warranty claim comes, you will go and collect data from other teams in the business (design engineers, software engineers etc.) to review and investigate the claim, then write a report about what was done to fix the issue. There will be administration and technical report writing responsibilities in this role.

  • Organise and participate in regular customer meetings.
  • Complete failure investigation reports as feedback to customers.
  • Investigate supplier component failures (DGR) where nominated.
  • Organise retrofits and rework.
  • Ordering parts and components in SAP.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working with technical components would help, there is technical report writing in this role.
  • Strong administrative skills, high attention to detail.
  • Confident personality, you will be in meetings and be talking to customers - not all the time, but there will be instances.
