Our client is a specialist in providing contract or on-hire staffing solutions across various sectors, including healthcare, industrial, horticulture, construction, transport logistics and mining.  They are looking for immediate support within their finance team due to an increased workload.
 

About the role

 
This position is a full time permanent role based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne and have a flexible working model (3 Days a week in the office).
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end weekly payroll processing for 30 franchisees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for franchise owners, proactively liaising to resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee all post-payroll activities including PAYG withholding, superannuation payments, and payroll tax obligations.
  • Prepare and lodge accurate GST and WorkCover submissions, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to reconcile payroll data with franchise invoicing and ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
  • Maintain meticulous payroll records and documentation in accordance with audit and compliance standards.
  • Continuously review and improve payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
 
 About you
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience within Payroll
  • Experience in financial systems such as FastTrack360 (not essential but will be well regarded).
  • A good understanding of modern awards.
  • High level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
  • Proactive research, analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • True team player.
  • Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
