Our client are a revered Australian brand with a decades-long legacy of design excellence, and a commitment to innovation, and award winning customer experience. They have established a strong retail footprint in ANZ and recently started their expansion internationally driving their ambitious growth strategy. As part of their relentless drive to have a best in class customer experience they have created a new role of Head of Transport & Home Delivery to join their team in Sydney.

The role reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and will have responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the transport and customer delivery function with a clear vision to create a world-class last-mile model that is both cost-effective and customer-led.The remit covers ANZ, Singapore, Canada, and the UK, with responsibility for transport planning, delivery performance, fleet and 3PL management, and customer experience. Key focus areas include:
  • Building and leading a consistent, high-performing last-mile delivery model across all markets
  • Strengthen customer delivery experience from scheduling to tracking to post-delivery follow-up
  • Improve damage rates, optimise routes and fleet utilisation, and reduce cost-to-serve
  • Effectively manage and work in partnerships with transport providers
  • Lead the implementation of a new TMS and utilising other technology platforms
  • Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the transport function 
We’re looking for a National Transport or Head of Transport with proven experience managing last-mile delivery, ideally across multiple geographies and within FMCG, consumer, or retail environments. You’ll bring expertise in fleet setup, 3PL and delivery partner management, particularly in bulky goods, along with a strong track record in building planning capability, driving operational excellence, and scaling process to deliver an optimised, customer-centric last mile delivery experience. 
Commercially astute, you’ll have experience managing budgets, improving key transport , and leveraging technology to assist in decision making and improving service levels.
