Six Degrees Executive is incredibly proud to partner with Aussie Helpers in recruiting their Community Investment & Partnership Manager, as the organisation enters an exciting phase of growth with strong leadership, national reach, and a genuine culture of compassion.

Since 2002, Aussie Helpers has been dedicated to supporting farming families and rural communities across Australia. They’ve grown into one of the nation’s most trusted charities, known for delivering hands-on support during droughts, floods, bushfires, and times of personal hardship. From financial aid and essential supplies through to mental health and community programs, Aussie Helpers exists to ensure no farming family is left behind.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, this role is pivotal in shaping and delivering Aussie Helpers’ community investment and fundraising strategy.
You’ll lead a broad portfolio spanning major donor relations, grants, trusts, sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, and high-impact events, all with the aim of driving sustainable revenue growth and strengthening connections with supporters and partners.

As a key member of the team, you’ll also play a major role in embedding a culture of philanthropy across the organisation, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the values of compassion, respect, generosity, teamwork, and reliability.

Flexible working options are available, including remote arrangements, with the ability to travel for events and stakeholder engagement when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a long-term fundraising and partnership strategy aligned with Aussie Helpers’ mission and growth plans.
  • Build and nurture relationships with major donors, corporates, philanthropic bodies, government, and community partners.
  • Design and deliver integrated fundraising campaigns and donor programs (major gifts, bequests, workplace giving, regular giving).
  • Lead the grants process from research and application through to reporting and acquittals.
  • Oversee donor engagement journeys, stewardship programs, and volunteer campaigns.
  • Plan and deliver donor events, fundraisers, and community activations, ensuring strong visibility and impact.
  • Represent Aussie Helpers at external events, forums, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Report to the CEO and Board on revenue performance, pipeline development, and key risks.

About You
You’re a proven fundraising or partnerships professional with the ability to design and deliver strategies that generate sustainable income. You’ll be equally comfortable building high-value relationships with corporates and donors as you are rolling up your sleeves to deliver community campaigns.

Key capabilities include:
  • Strong track record in fundraising, partnerships, or business development.
  • Experience managing high-value donors, grants, or sponsorship programs.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to connect people to purpose.
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and a data-driven approach.
  • Collaborative, values-driven, and motivated by making a tangible social impact.

This is a unique opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation where your work directly changes lives in rural Australia. You’ll be part of a passionate and supportive team, with the autonomy to shape a high-impact portfolio and the platform to influence Aussie Helpers’ future growth.
